The Lendal™ Difference: The Paddlok™ System

The new standard in take-apart paddle performance. Lendal™'s patented Paddlok™ System eliminates having to choose between the superior performance of a one-piece or the convenience of a take-apart. Now you can have both.

With a special joint mechanism and key, a Paddlok™ paddle locks together so tightly that it feels like a one-piece model in use. But it also comes apart easily for storage and transport.

Paddlok™ paddles come in four-piece models.

Four-piece paddles break down much smaller, for even greater ease of storage and transport. And they open up a world of activity-specific customization options for more-experienced paddlers.

In the Paddlok™ system, every blade fits every shaft. So you can mix and match system components to create a paddle ideally suited to any paddling activity, even if today’s activity is different from yesterday's. You can experiment with new blade shapes and sizes, try different shaft lengths or experiment with a Modified Crank Shaft.

And in the unlikely event a paddle is damaged in use, you can quickly and easily repair it yourself by swapping in a new section — no need to send it back to the factory.

Easy storage and transport. Activity-specific customization. On-the-spot repairs. Three reasons the Paddlok™ System makes Lendal the clear leader in high-performance kayak paddles.

Paddlok™

The very best joint technology available, Paddlok™ paddles offer secure connection and long service life, out-performing other high-specification joints in hard use and sandy conditions.

Paddlok™ center joint is standard on all FG Touring and FG Whitewater shafts. WW shafts are set with 45° RH control, Touring shafts are equipped with settings for RH 60° and unfeathered (0°) control.

Paddlok™ performance plus freedom to experiment.

Performance-minded paddlers often want to tweak their equipment settings, and Paddlok™ allows for ample experimentation. Every Paddlok™ shaft has a positive lock setting so pieces will hold together without the key for emergency use (Paddlok paddles should be tightened whenever possible). In addition to the positive lock angle setting, Paddlok™ shafts can be set and locked at any angle in the range — no pre-set increments.

Carbon Touring shafts are fitted with Paddlok™ and allow angles of 0° to RH 90°. Positive lock setting at RH 60° for emergency use.

All XPS Carbon Whitewater shafts are fitted with Paddlok™ and allow angles of 0° through RH 90°. Positive lock setting at RH 45° for emergency use.

VariLok: The ultimate ability to fine-tune your paddle.

Available on carbon shafts only. Building on proven Paddlok System functionality, the VariLok joint provides locking capability with adjustment of both length and feather angle.

Angle is infinitely adjustable (no pre-set increments) through a full 180°, LH 90° through RH 90° and everything in between.

Length is extendible up to 5 cm (or any fraction thereof) above the base length.
