The Lendal™ Difference: Blade Design

The culmination of more than 40 years of innovation in paddle design and construction. Our sea blades are divided into three families, each with its own particular performance profile and feel in the water. All share an uncommon efficiency — something you'll notice from the very first stroke.

Asymmetric: Easy-to-use shapes with characteristic Lendal™ efficiency.

Contact area is distributed evenly across the length of the face, giving paddle a relatively soft catch in the water. Well suited for recreational paddling by those who do not train in a kayak. Also popular for expedition work — soft catch saves wear and tear on muscles when paddling a heavily loaded boat.

Kinetik: Superior response for high-performance paddling.

Originally derived from medal-winning whitewater slalom designs. Tip-heavy design produces very strong catch, delivering powerful acceleration and control strokes without tiring excess area. Ideal for high-performance touring, ocean play, racing and shorter expeditions.

Kinetik Wing: The new standard in all-conditions performance paddling.

A revolution in paddle design. Provides the performance benefits of a racing-style wing paddle in a versatile form useful for a wide range of paddlers in any conditions. The new standard in performance sea paddles, also excellent for workouts and training, adventure racing, open-water racing and fast-and-light expeditions.

Kids: Full-grown performance sized for smaller paddlers.

Performance without compromise. Paddling efficiency in models designed with the needs of younger paddlers in mind.

A powerful blend of durability and performance. Wide variety of blade shapes and cross-sections allows for fine-tuning to your style of paddling.

Surf/River Running

Soft dihedral on blade makes them very predictable even in extremely difficult water conditions. Ideal for developing paddlers. Also favored by extreme paddlers for their all-conditions versatility. Thick edges for long life even in abrasive conditions.

Competition

Thinner, lighter blades for faster strokes. Strongly curved both along and across the face, delivering an unprecedented level of power for initiating big moves. More technically demanding; work best for experienced paddlers who know how to keep a blade active in the water at all times.
